Depicts a Florida wetland inspired by the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge. 

Florida wetlands span about 8–10 million acres (roughly 30% of the state), with the Everglades as its crown jewel—the largest subtropical wilderness in North America. This “River of Grass” supports immense biodiversity, including alligators, manatees, Florida panthers, and hundreds of bird species. They provide critical services like flood control, water filtration, aquifer recharge, and hurricane protection, but face ongoing threats from development, agriculture, pollution, and sea-level rise.
