Sun Shaman

This is an original acrylic painting on a 4x4 inch gallery wrapped canvas, varnished.

Recently, I was at the Orlando Museum of Art and was inspired by the pre-columbian artifacts on display from various indigenous civilizations in South and Central America. The intricate patterns and images were magnificent, so I decided to make this painting. While it is not a copy of this ancient art, I wanted to make something whimsical with robust patterns and colors. From that start comes this wise and peaceful sun, radiating light in all directions. In strong light, it even sparkles. 

This piece will make a fine and interesting addition to your decor and is sure to be a conversation starter with your guests. And who knows? Maybe it will bring a little good luck too!
